Walking through the garden of his life he came across the most beautiful woman he had ever lay eyes on, in her hand she held a large red apple, after summering up enough courage he asked “May I have that?” “This apple?” she replied, “I will need something in return, something of the same deep red colour and of equal size” “My heart?” he asked, “Yes” she replied.
He thought about this for a moment, he had never had any use for his heart, and had not needed it up until now, and the thought of not having the apple became too much to bare, “Your gift holds much more value than this heart” he said, “But I will accept your trade” “Not to me” she said, and handed over the apple.
The apple filled his belly, and the juice quenched his thirst, he had never been more content in his life, looking over to the beautiful woman, he saw she had placed his heart down upon an old tree stump beside her.
“If you want it back, its yours to take” she said “I cannot keep it having tricked you to give it up only to quench your soul” he walked over to the tree stump and picked up his heart, giving it to her he said “My heart is now yours forever” “And you will never have need for anything again” she said.
They embraced, became one, and love was born
